This Cap Shaped with Pillars Headstone is produced in our workshop from selected Aurora Granite, with the main memorial structure cut and shaped from natural stone to maintain a solid, continuous appearance between the cap, central tablet and side sections. The upper tablet features a broad curved cap profile, while the two side pillars are carved directly from the granite to create an integrated architectural frame rather than adding separate decorative elements. All visible carved details are finished by hand, allowing the carver to control the pillar profile, stepped transitions, curved edges and surface details individually.
The central face is intentionally kept relatively open, providing ample space for names, dates, epitaphs, religious wording or custom memorial artwork. The lower base is also produced from matching Aurora Granite and incorporates two circular vase openings for floral arrangements, with their position and dimensions adjustable to suit the final design.

Before cutting, the factory reviews the block for visible fissures, mineral concentrations and areas that may affect the central inscription panel or carved pillars.

The cap profile, tablet and base are cut from approved production drawings before the hand-carving stage begins. Pillar carving is carried out after rough shaping so that the decorative relief remains proportionate to the overall monument. Particular attention is given to pillar symmetry, cap alignment, transition areas and the flatness of the inscription face.

The complete monument can be dry assembled in the workshop before packing to verify component fit and visual alignment. The two vase openings in the base are checked for position, diameter and edge integrity so that standard memorial vases can be installed without interfering with the monument structure.

Before loading, polished faces are cleaned, inspected under workshop lighting and protected with foam, waterproof film and reinforced wooden packing. Carved projecting areas receive additional internal bracing to reduce movement and impact risk during container handling and inland transport.

Are the two openings in the base anchor holes or vase holes?
They are vase holes positioned in the lower base for memorial flower containers. They are separate from structural fixing points. When cemetery regulations require mechanical anchoring, dedicated stainless-steel dowel holes can be added to the CAD layout at specified positions and dimensions.
