The square floor has a large area, so the amount of stone paving is also very large, involving various types and specifications of paving stone. For outdoor floors, the characteristics of granite make it more suitable for square floor paving, processed into small-sized stone products (100 * 100mm square, 100mm or 80mm hexagonal and diamond shapes, etc.), specially used for paving squares, mainly made of granite material. When laying the square floor, light toned products are mostly used (referred to as main tone products), while black and red tones are less common (referred to as color matching products). The color matching products generally use high-end and luxurious varieties.
What should be noted when choosing granite for the square floor? We also need to have a brief understanding from the following three aspects.
1.The thickness of stone is generally thicker and more resistant to bending, but thick stone cannot be used without restrictions. The commonly used simple conversion method is: the thickness of the square stone for cars with a limit of 2T or less should be at least 6cm or more. For every 1T added, an additional 3cm is added, and 20cm is the maximum limit.
2.If the size of the stone is not considered and the thickness is blindly increased, it is not economical and not conducive to construction. However, a certain size is still one of the measures to prevent the stone from cracking, which is the specification for building stone and decorative stone products.
3. Selection of stone varieties. Generally speaking, the flexural strength of granite is greater than that of marble, so granite is more commonly chosen for outdoor plazas.
