On September 7, on the occasion of the 41st Teachers' Day, Xiamen Longqiuting Experimental School launched the "Teacher Talks and Heart Words" Teachers' Day theme practice activity, organizing teachers and students to use the practice form of leaving the campus to allow students to improve their abilities and convey their teachers' kindness in social scenarios, and at the same time deeply integrate campus culture with southern Fujian culture and gain fruitful results.
On the day of the event, in the theme scenic spot "Seeing Southern Fujian and the Illusion of Time", the students were divided into eight groups, with high and low grades, and conducted interviews and surveys for scenic spot tourists from large to small. They all turned into "little reporters" and interviewed tourists and staff on the scene to listen to stories of different groups and teachers around topics such as "the most impressive teacher", "the definition of a good teacher" and "the heartwarming teacher in the eyes of parents".

Unlike the previous form of focusing on "expressing gratitude to teachers in the school", students who have walked out of campus have turned into "little reporters" and communicated with different groups. During the interview, the students took the initiative to talk to the elderly, parents, students at different levels of school and workers in various industries to explore the diverse "teacher story": some elderly people shared the careful teaching of teachers when they were studying in the past, some parents talked about their understanding of the teacher's profession based on their children's school experience, and some peers exchanged their views on Teacher's Day activities.
In addition to off-campus interviews, the school also set up a "big tree display board" at the event site and carried out a "leaf message" activity. During the explanation, the students also guided tourists to write Teacher's Day blessings on leaf-style sticky notes, paste them on a 2-meter-high tree-shaped display board, and take photos together to transform the emotion of "gratitude to the teacher" into an action that can be participated and disseminated. Everyone writes down their blessings to teachers either in paintings or in words, including children's tender graffiti and sincere messages from adults, creating a strong atmosphere of respecting teachers and valuing education, so that gratitude can be presented in a more intuitive way.

After the event, the students said that the practice of leaving campus this time not only made them dare to actively communicate with others, but also understood that "respecting teachers" is not a slogan, but to convey their sincerity through listening and expression. Fifth-grade student Lin Junxi said, "This event not only made me more aware of respecting teachers and valuing education, but also improved my own abilities, gained courage, and learned how to interview a topic."
"Many students have feedback after the event, not only have a new understanding of the definition of "teacher". For example, many people and many things in life can become teachers, but they have also improved their confidence in expressing themselves and asking questions through active communication." Xu Huishan, deputy secretary of the school's Youth League Committee, said that the activity is guided by party building, and the core goal is to enable students to jump out of the classroom and go to society.
Chen Qiong, a parent of the student who participated in the event, said that the activity focused on "talking to teachers and expressing inner thoughts", which is a useful supplement to classroom knowledge. It can allow children to grow in practice, experience and emotions, and achieve the effect of "teaching in emotion", which is of great significance to inheriting the tradition of respecting teachers and valuing education.

It is worth noting that the school organically combines campus cultural and creative industries with local culture with the help of the platform of "Island See Southern Fujian·Time Illusion", a cultural and artistic scenic spot in southern Fujian. The layout of the event booth and the display of agricultural and creative cultural products all incorporate the aesthetic and connotation of southern Fujian elements, allowing tourists to understand the vitality of southern Fujian culture through campus products, and also allowing students to deepen their recognition of local culture and broaden their cultural horizons in the process of introducing others.
A relevant person in charge of Xiamen Longqiuting Experimental School said that in the future, we will continue to explore the form of "walking ideological and political courses" and the "campus + society" linkage practice model, so that students can improve their comprehensive abilities in real scenarios, and at the same time, using culture as the link, the traditional virtues of respecting teachers and valuing education will take root and grow in a broader social space.
