On the afternoon of September 17, the 11th "Haiwa Cup" Primary and Secondary School Football League in Haicang District officially kicked off. This league will last until late October, and 60 teams will compete in 129 games in 12 home games.
As an important campus sports event in Haicang District, the league started in 2014 and has been held for 10 consecutive years. This year marks the 11th session. This year's "Haiwa Cup" has a total of 7 groups, covering three stages: primary school, junior high school and high school. The primary school children and girls group has added a new group this year, further expanding the coverage of the event. In addition, the competition is divided into five-a-side, eight-a-side and eleven-a-side. The primary and junior high school men's super group adopts the "group match + knockout" competition system, while the high school men's super group implements a single round-robin competition system.
The competition has a total of 12 venues, covering the home area schools including Beifu School, Haicang Yankui Experimental Primary School, Haicang Experimental Middle School, etc. This is the fifth time that the affiliated school of Haicang District Teachers' Continuing Education School has undertaken the event hosting task, providing two 8-person venues, equipment, drinking water and on-site medical teams for the event. Yu Shiqiang, head of the school's sports teaching and research group, said that he hopes that through various schools to participate in the competition and exchanges, the school's football atmosphere will be enhanced. He also hopes that more teams will participate in the "Haiwa Cup" and jointly promote the development of regional campus football.

In the 2025 Xiamen Campus Football Primary and Secondary School League, Haicang District won four championships in five primary school categories. In this league, Haicang Double Ten Affiliated School is particularly eye-catching - the school won the runner-up of the "Haiwa Cup" primary school men's group last year and advanced to the municipal competition, and finally won the municipal championship. This year, it successfully entered the primary school men's super group. Jian Hongkai, the school's football team coach, said that the professional promotion and relegation mechanism of the event has injected momentum into campus football, and we look forward to the players "enjoy the game and break through themselves" in this league.
