Recently, the "2025 Bookish Egret Island National Reading Activity" kicked off at Wuyi Square. The activity is based on the concept of "comprehensive reading, three-dimensional book fragrance", creating a reading ecology of "leading by one product, radiating throughout the whole area".
As one of the important supporting projects of this event, the 2025 Ludao Book Market will be held from November 1st to 2nd. The book market system has created five themed exhibition areas, tailoring a reading paradise for readers of different ages and preferences. 28 local publishing and distribution units, as well as high-quality domestic and foreign publishing institutions, were gathered on site to select over 30000 high-quality reading materials.
In addition, Xiamen's six districts and ten libraries have joined forces for the first time to "set up stalls", upgrading traditional static services to diverse dynamic experiences, allowing public reading services to approach citizens in a younger and more friendly way. Each museum has showcased its "interactive trump card", launching more than ten creative activities such as AI librarian interaction and Jiageng knowledge quiz simultaneously, integrating a sense of technology, local culture, and fun challenges, making reading services more accessible and adding a cultural touch.
