The 2026 Xiamen Marathon will commence on January 11 next year. Yesterday, the official participant numbers were released, and registered runners can check their bib numbers via the Xiamen Marathon official website, the Wen Guang Sports Mini Program, and the Digital Heartbeat App.
It is reported that next year's Xiamen Marathon will have a participation scale of 35,000 runners, with a registration system divided into seventeen sections and a starting signal given in eight rounds.
On December 5th, the organizing committee conducted a score comparison of all qualified participants through the China Marathon website (runchina. org. cn). Specifically, from January 1st, 2024 to November 16th, 2025, the individual best scores of marathons and half marathons that can be found in events certified as "Class A" by the Chinese Athletics Association will not be used as the basis for division if the results cannot be found by December 5th, 2025. Among the qualified contestants, they are divided into 17 areas in order of their personal best performance, from fast to slow: S, application for level, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, N, P, and R. On the day of the competition, contestants will be checked in according to their corresponding areas.
The announcement released by the organizing committee yesterday stated that the first shot will start at 7:10. Please pay attention to the subsequent release of the "Supplementary Notice to the Competition Regulations" for the registration and issuing time of each district. The 2026 Xiamen Marathon will continue to adopt strict gun and zone registration and management, requiring all participants to enter the venue according to the information on the number cloth. In special circumstances, the front area can enter the back area for registration and starting (such as A area can start in B-P area), and the back area is not allowed to enter the front area for registration and starting (such as B area players are not allowed to start in A area, and so on). Any violation will be punished according to the rules and regulations, and all participating players are required to comply.
